The network "Electronics-Relevant Topics and Fields of Action in the Brandenburg-Berlin Region," or ERT-BB for short, was founded in 2018 and is managed by the Society for the Promotion of Science and Business (GFWW) and currently has 19 members from various industries.

The aim of the cooperation network is to develop new, concrete application solutions in electronically relevant fields in order to expand the value chains of regionally based companies.

The aim is to create completely new technological processes and manufacturing methods, as well as tools, that will make it possible to supplement and, in the best case, even replace the existing complex and complicated technologies and processes in chip and sensor production.

The focus is primarily on the sectors and areas of automotive, automation, Industry 4.0, health, life sciences, agriculture, forestry, information and communication technology, the Internet of Things and security.

The aim of this merger is, on the one hand, to promote and facilitate the exchange of knowledge between technology companies in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and, at the same time, to emphasize the importance of the business location.

This is a given, especially for Scharnau, as the company has been committed to the location for many years and consistently focuses on innovative products, research and further development.

Last but not least, the ERT-BB cooperation network is also intended to increase the visibility of the potential for other industries and regions and to enable greater added value for individual companies.
