*In adhesive bonding technology, a primer applied to the surface of a component prior to adhesive application to improve adhesion and/or bond strength.**Direct corona discharge occurs between an electrode and a grounded counter electrode; the workpiece is guided through the gap. Indirect corona discharge occurs between two ceramic electrodes; the resulting "current threads" are directed to the surface to be treated by a laminar air stream.
